Michael Miu, Bosco Wong, & Niki Chow At "TVB Magazine Popularity Awards" Ceremony

Michael Miu Kiu Wai, Bosco Wong Chung Chak, and Niki Chow Lai Kei appeared at "TVB Magazine's 2006 Popularity Awards" opening ceremony yesterday. Michael indicated that he would like to co-star with Niki if the opportunity arises. At the event, Bosco also spoke more about his character and filming requirements for upcoming series, "Dou Cheung Fung Wan" (Casino Turbulent Times).

At the event yesterday,
Bosco had the most fans cheering for him. Bosco wrapped up his filming early yesterday. After sleeping for a few hours, he appeared at the promotional event in the late afternoon. Bosco said that he has filmed many series in 2005 and including "Dou Cheung Fung Wan," it would be a total of 140 episodes that he has filmed.

Bosco said that having continuous work is a good thing. He hopes that he will be able to save enough money to buy a house and live with his mother. However, he still can not afford to the down payment for a home yet.

Bosco has not had any vacation time in a year. He has already put in an early request to take some time off at the end of the year.

In the first 7 episodes of "Dou Cheung Fung Wan," Bosco will be playing a withdrawn and anti-social youth. The producer said that in the early episodes, Bosco will only have to bring his body to work. They will only need to film his character sleeping and will not require anything strenuous from Bosco. "I don't mind acting as a withdrawn youth in future series too, as I can come to work and sleep on the set." In May, Bosco will be going to the Philippines to film some scenes for "Dou Cheung Fung Wan" and hopes he has a chance to go diving.

During the photo taking session, Niki stayed by Michael Miu's side and appeared to be a loyal fan. Niki said that Michael was one of her idols.

Michael said that he has been watching "Under the Canopy of Love" recently and that Niki is his idol instead. He joked that he can collaborate with Niki and appear in an "younger man, older woman relationship." Michael also said that Niki's acting in her last 2 series was very natural.

Michael will be filming "Dou Cheung Fung Wan" and will be co-starring opposite Jessica Hsuan. As Michael's co-stars are getting younger and younger, he said, "Working with younger artists gives a sense of freshness; I can absorb more things from the younger generation!"

But will Michael's wife Jamie Chik Mei Jun be worried since he is working with such young actresses? Michael said, "If she were to worry about such matters, then it would have worried her for the last 20 years! But I will not do anything unethical [in our marriage]."

But will Michael drive home female colleagues after work? "Driving them home is a form of manners; my wife knows that! Now that there are so many prying eyes from the media, my wife should not be worried. It is better than for her to follow me herself!"
